About Me
Hallo!
I am Liam Sjöholm, a 20-year old Engine programmer and I’m currently studying game programming at The Game Assembly in Malmö, Sweden. During my time at TGA I have learned to collaborate with other disciplines in larger group projects, creating games using Unity and C# Scripting, TGE (TGA’s handout engine), as well as Rock Solid Engine, an engine built from the ground up in C++ using DirectX11 and ImGui.
During my freetime, I also develop my own hobby engine named Sailaway Engine made using C++, Vulkan and GLFW. In the future I have plans to add support for DirectX12.
Background
Ever since I was 11 years old I’ve wanted to figure out how games work. I started off following tutorials on YouTube on how to make plugins for minecraft servers which turned into developing plugins for different types of servers. I made everything from minigames to anti cheats and had a blast doing so. I later turned my Java knowledge to making my own games in Unity using C#.
Aside from programming my interests include anything with an engine. I enjoy working on cars and bikes alike in a garage and I love spending time on my motorcycle in the hot sun feeling the breeze and getting the full two wheeled experience. At some point I wish to be able to afford to regularly attend track days.
